More and more people are commuting to the LMA by bicycle. A surprising number of hardy riders even bike to the LMA year-round, and more are interested in joining their robust ranks.
Children’s Hospital Boston and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute recently sponsored winter bicycling workshops. Coordinated by MASCO’s CommuteWorks and led by Shane Jordan, MassBike education director, the fast-paced lunch time workshops covered bicycle selection, clothing to stay warm and dry, gear choices for winter, bicycle maintenance, route planning, rules of the road, and safety tips.
